India, the world’s largest democracy that prides itself on being a secular state, is in the grip of populism and communal violence. India is home to several ethnic and religious communities. Secularism and pluralism have been the lifeblood of India. Its integrity and unity stand on these principles. But a rot of Hindu Tava ideology has been set in on its basis. Bhartiya Janta Party in connivance with RSS is dividing India on many fronts. First, Muslims bore the brunt of Hindu extremism. The Citizen Amendment Bill was below the belt attack on Muslim identity in India. Millions are on the verge of losing Indian citizenship and being regarded as foreigners. Now, the farmers have become the victim of Hindu Tava wrath. They took to streets when Modi made economic policies in favor of capitalists. The protest was the voice of the poor against the rich. They gathered in Dehli to elevate their voice to echelons of power. But seeing its defeat ahead, Modi and his gang have painted their protest with a different color. The peaceful protest was shown as farmers’ attempt to carve out India into pieces and make a new state, Khalistan. This strategy paid him rich dividends. The majority who was first sympathetic to farmers is now dead against them. The nation is divided and dangerously polarized, but Modi is safe and continues to enjoy the support of the majority. However, this strategy hurt India’s unity and integrity. Indians have no clue what ruin Modi has set into motion. This is the beginning of India’s disintegration. Thanks to Modi, India’s enemies need no weapon to destroy it. He has made their work easier than imagined.
