Pakistan’s former finance minister and now a fugitive ‘Ishaq Dar’ claimed in an interview to BBC HardTalk that all the allegations against him are made up by military-backed Imran Khan’s regime to tarnish his and his party’s image. He claimed that he owns no property except his residence in Pakistan.
He blamed NAB(National Accountability Bureau) for the violation of humanrights while answering a question about his return to Pakistan. Perhaps it’s easy for Ishaq Dar to vilify state departments to save his face. In 2017 Dar was declared a fugitive and his senate membership was suspended in 2018 when he failed to appear before the supreme court.
This is no strange, Politicians in Pakistan often accuse the establishment and state departments to save their political image. But it is crystal clear now that Dar doesn’t respect the supreme court, establishment, state, and state departments anymore.
Will he lose his credibility or will he be seen as a loyal leader?
